Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Lacey Clay, a Memphis area native, joined the University of Tennessee (UT) Health Science Center in June 2025 as an Assistant Professor in the Nurse Anesthesiology concentration in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Since October 2022, Dr. Clay has held a volunteer faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing's Acute and Tertiary Care Department.

Dr. Clay earned her DNP in Nurse Anesthesiology from UT Health Science Center in 2020. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the Mississippi University for Women in 2016 and graduated from Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2013 with an Associate in Arts in Nursing.

Dr. Clay is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in the local Memphis area. She also has served as a Clinical Coordinator since January 2023 and a CRNA External Education Coordinator since March 2022. Her areas of clinical focus in nurse anesthesiology include orthopedics, vascular, plastics, surgical-oncology, trauma, and burn anesthesia.

Dr. Clay is a member of the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Zeta Rho Chapter and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges in 2016.
